The Genesis Technologies Group, a division of Livingston & Haven, is an innovation and invention engineering team operating out of Livingston & Haven’s corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
Our team is comprised of highly skilled engineers that have been assembled to provide our clients the best in engineering excellence. Mel Radford, PE
Mel is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of North Carolina and the leader of the team. Specializing in automation and software development, Mel provides a breadth and depth of engineering and product development knowledge that spans over 20 years. Having owned a small business that developed many new products, he understands the financial and technical challenges that today’s businesses face when attempting innovation. During the workweek Mel likes to sport non-traditional shirt colors such as salmon or purple. Mel spends his personal time coaching and playing soccer, and teaching martial arts.

Will Wood
Will is a certified fluid power specialist with a Bachelors of Science in business and an automotive engineering background. He has worked at Livingston & Haven for the past six years in technical outside sales working closely with O.E.Ms to develop new machines and technology in the mobile industry. He enjoys the outdoors and weightlifting.

Scott Draffin
Scott is an engineering professional with a passion for new product development. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics from the College of Charleston, as well as a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina. He also received his MBA from the University of South Carolina with a concentration in international business. He is a member of Pi Tau Sigma and Tau Beta Pi national honor societies.
